Author’s Block, Scene #01

Tori Easton, a author, is on the cellphone together with her editor. Via their dialog, it is revealed that Tori is on a deadline for her newest short-fiction journal submission, and that she is writing a narrative with a friends-to-lovers theme. Tori assures her editor that the story might be delivered on time however deflects giving any story particulars, stalling by saying that it is gonna knock their socks off however they will simply have to attend till it is achieved. However when Tori hangs up, it is clear by her physique language and anxious muttering that she actually would not have something written in any respect. She’s experiencing extreme author’s block. She stares on the clean web page open on her display screen for a number of moments, straining to assume. Lastly she sighs and shrugs and says to herself ‘Nicely, you already know what they are saying… write what you already know.’ With newfound inspiration, Tori sits at her desk and begins typing on her laptop computer.
